Moody Move comes after Moody’s latest Boondoggle, who missed a short attempt at the field and had another closed in Sunday’s 17-13 win in Seattle.
Since the 49ers took him in the third round in 2023, Moody has struggled with his accuracy. During the newcomer, he lost four field attempts, including three under 50 meters, and 60 out of 61 went to the pats. He fought a lot in 14 games last year and was missing 10 of 34 field attempts and one pat.
Niners brought Greg Joseph to the camp to push the 25 -year -old kicker, but got stuck with his choice.
Shanahan gave Moody the leash despite the issues. One game in the period 2025, however, he cut the kicker loose. Thirty -two games were enough.
Niners do not have another kicker in the roster or the training team.
