Kyle Monangai back in practice, doubtful for Sunday

Kyle Monangai back in practice, doubtful for Sunday game. Expect him to suit up if his toe holds up.Kyle Monangai practiced Friday, his first appearance in a month.

Kyle Monangai hit the practice grid Friday, his first snap in a month.

The running back sat out four games after a toe injury sustained on a 146‑yard, two‑touchdown dash versus the Jets in Week 4. He participated lightly Friday, and Chicago listed him as questionable for the Buccaneers showdown Sunday. For my money, his quick return bodes well for Chicago’s offense.

Chicago’s Week 10 bye follows, so Friday’s practice could foreshadow Monangai’s role in Week 11.

Defensive back Malik Muhammad (toe) and corner Tyrique Stevenson (thumb) also carry questionable tags. Left tackle Theo Benedet (shoulder), linebacker T.J. Edwards (personal) and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (groin) have no injury listings.
