Could Kevin Knox finally head to Europe? Former NBA forward Kevin Knox might sign overseas, Alex Molina of Eurohoops reports Unicaja Malaga is in talks with his representatives.
The Magic cut ties with Knox on Friday night after his stint in training camp and the preseason with Orlando.
The 2018 ninth‑overall pick logged 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds on .393/.340/.723 shooting across 320 NBA games, averaging 17.5 minutes each night. His most recent NBA chapter was with Golden State in the 2024/25 season.
Last year Knox toiled in the G League with the Windy City Bulls, dropping 21.4 points and 7.7 rebounds on .464/.414/.836 shooting while logging 32.4 minutes per contest.
Molina notes Unicaja has wrestled with injuries this fall, notably losing Tyson Perez to a torn Achilles. For my money, the Spanish side’s depth will be tested as they juggle Liga ACB duties and the Basketball Champions League.
Here’s more buzz from the basketball sphere:
- Hall of Famer Cliff Hagan passed away at 94, ESPN confirms. Kentucky announced the loss on Friday. Hagan, a five‑time All‑Star, spent his entire decade with the Hawks, then based in St. Louis.
- Valencia Basket, Paris Basketball, Dubai Basketball and PAOK Thessaloniki have secured EuroLeague franchise approval, Javier Maestro of Encestando (via Sportando) says, with an announcement likely in early November. Other clubs, including Partizan Belgrade, Virtus Bologna, Crvena Zvezda and Hapoel Tel Aviv, are still negotiating stakes. Could this wave reshape the league’s future?
