Frosinone have handed Italy U‑21 keeper Lorenzo Palmisani a fresh deal after his starring role in the 2‑0 win over Como, deepening Juventus’ regrets.
He easily clinched Serie A Man of the Match yesterday, as his saves secured the first defeat of the season for Cesc Fabregas’s side.
Palmisani shines at Frosinone
“I hadn’t known their keeper before, but if I were Roberto Mancini I’d give him a look,” Como boss Fabregas told DAZN Italia post‑match.
A Frosinone academy graduate, Palmisani turned 22 in June and is slated for Italy’s U‑21 Euro qualifier trips to Armenia (Oct 1) and Poland (Oct 5).
Before heading to Coverciano, he secured an upgraded contract with his hometown club.
The agreement now runs until June 2031.
He helped the side rise from Serie B last term, posting 15 clean sheets and stopping 80 % of shots on target.
Tuttomercatoweb reported Juventus pursued him for €8 million this summer but ultimately looked elsewhere.
His market value has now easily tripled thanks to his Serie A displays for Frosinone. For my money, his rise signals Frosinone’s growing stature. Will bigger clubs chase him next season?
