The Italian coach flatly rejected claims that the Premier League verdict says anything about him, insisting the ruling is unrelated to his own deal.
He raised the matter at his pre‑match briefing ahead of the Nations League trip to Turkey, citing CalcioMercato sources.
“I don’t think City were found guilty – quite the opposite,” Mancini asserted. “It’s not my concern, and it isn’t new. The club’s contract issue is theirs, not mine.”

Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport allege off‑books payments and a secondary deal that would have more than doubled his salary, supposedly a €2.03 m consultancy with an Abu Dhabi side owned by Sheikh Mansour.
In my view, the accusations look like a thinly‑veiled attempt to sidestep UEFA’s financial rules, and both parties maintain their innocence while an appeal looms.
