Tension spikes in the Premier League as Chelsea hunts a win and United seeks to end its slump. Can the Blues halt their slide while the Red Devils finally turn the tide?
The Chelsea vs Manchester United clash is set for Saturday, October 31, at 13:30 GMT at Stamford Bridge. Canal+ will broadcast the fixture live, holding exclusive Premier League rights in France.
Chelsea vs Manchester United: two English giants seeking a bounce back
Chelsea sit fifth with 13 points after a 2‑0 defeat to Tottenham, a loss that ended their recent winning run and saw Cole Palmer sent off in the 80th minute. Hosted in London, they must bounce back to stay within the top‑four race. United, languishing sixteenth with just seven points, suffered a 3‑0 home loss to Bournemouth, extending their winless streak to eight games. Manager Michael Carrick remains in charge, but his tenure appears near its end as the club eyes replacements such as Eddie Howe or Julian Nagelsmann. Locker‑room tension rises after captain Bruno Fernandes was dropped following a heated tactical dispute. For my money, United’s survival hinges on a victory at Chelsea.
