Four titles, sheer dominance and a European final define the season. Did you ever imagine Barcelona could be crowned the world’s top women’s side? At the Ballon d’Or Gala the club accepted the Best Women’s Team award, a nod to a campaign that added a second historic quartet of trophies, with President Joan Laporta collecting the prize.
In the men’s category, Ousmane Dembélé lifted the Paris Saint‑Germain trophy, echoing the club’s resounding Champions League triumph under Luis Enrique.
Guided by Pere Romeu, Barça showcased star players who blended talent, experience, La Masia graduates and a distinct football identity. The haul culminated with the Spanish Supercup, the Liga F Moeve, the Copa de la Reina and the Champions League. In my view, Barça’s blend of youth and experience sets a benchmark for club football.
Oslo staged a historic showcase.
The 23 May showdown in Oslo captured the season’s magnitude. At Ullevaal Stadion Barça dismantled OL Lyonnais 4‑0, scoring four second‑half strikes – a brace from Ewa Pajor and another from Salma Paralluelo, while Cata Coll shone between the posts.
The win marked Barça’s fourth Champions League crown, joining victories in 2021, 2023 and 2024, and cemented their place among the competition’s most decorated clubs. It also signalled a sixth consecutive European final appearance.
A record‑breaking league: 87 points and 130 goals.
Europe wasn’t the only arena of dominance. Prior to the Champions League triumph, Barça secured an extraordinary league title, posting numbers that underscored their supremacy.
Barça closed the Liga F Moeve with 87 of a possible 90 points, winning 29 of 30 matches and suffering just one loss. They netted 130 goals while conceding only nine, a +121 goal difference. Real Madrid, runners‑up, trailed by fifteen points.
Pina and Pajor proved that goals win titles.
In the scoring race, Claudia Pina shone, delivering 21 goals in 27 games to finish as the league’s top scorer. Ewa Pajor added 16 league goals and topped the Champions League tally with eleven, sealing her perseverance with a brace against OL Lyonnais in the final, where she was named player of the match. Alexia, former captain now with London City Lionesses, contributed seven goals and seven assists in the Champions League and earned the competition’s best player award.
Caroline Graham Hansen once again injected pace and creativity from the wing, recording ten assists in the Liga F Moeve and repeatedly unsettling defenses.
