Arrasate Calls for Aggression Ahead of Sevilla Clash

CA Osasuna manager Jagoba Arrasate said on Sunday the squad must keep its solidity ahead of tomorrow’s showdown with Sevilla at the Sánchez‑Pizjuán, which caps LaLiga EA Sports’ tenth round.

“We showed solidity against Racing and we need that to stay competitive. We’d love more attacking play, but Sevilla are the best at that and will press hard outside their own net,” he noted.

Speaking to the media before the match, the coach expressed his eagerness to see the side perform on the road and his anticipation of a formidable opponent.

Arrasate admitted Sevilla differ greatly from Racing, yet he insists Osasuna must not become a shadow of its home version. He said the staff will seek a pressing approach, adjusting tactics according to the lineup—whether the visitors line up with three central defenders or a two‑striker front can shift the pressure zone.

With just a single away victory this season, Arrasate stressed the importance of preserving the strengths displayed at El Sadar last round.

“We started well the other day, played aggressively, won the ball and committed fouls—that’s the mindset we need tomorrow. If we don’t, we’ll have nothing to do,” Arrasate asserted.

Sitting eleventh, the manager highlighted that points matter more than placement, noting the current results suggest this campaign could mirror last season’s pattern.

He underlined that the squad still has room to improve, regardless of the latest triumph. For my money, the biggest task is sharpening the attack.

He added that the team must add more goals and not rely solely on what Budimir can deliver. Can Osasuna find the firepower to trouble Sevilla?
