Facundo Colidio will sit out one of the most coveted Copa Sudamericana 2026 matches. The Vasco da Gama forward is ruled ineligible for the Boca semi‑final after a regulatory snag, and after numerous appeals he revealed how the ordeal felt.
The attacker joined the Brazilian side following his stint at River and quickly became a key component of the squad. Yet he must miss both legs against the Xeneize because Millonario had already registered him for the competition’s knockout phase. In my view, the rule feels overly harsh.
“It’s a Sudamericana semi‑final. I also pushed hard for the round of 16 and quarters,” Colidio told TNT Sports. He added that arriving at Vasco, he expected to feature in the international tournament with his new club.
