Golden State Warriors striker Jimmy Butler may not have a “Playoff Jimmy” character in the NBA 2025 playoffs.
In comparison, he averaged 26 plus points per game in two playoff games near the end of his term with the Miami Heat in 2022 and 2023.
Butler took just nine shots in the Warriors’s Game 4 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs and the Heat Legend Dwyane Wade tore Butler for the quality of his game in these play games and said he was not aggressive enough to look for his own shot.
Butler’s agent, Bernie Lee, has since responded to Wade’s comments in the X and fixed himself for his client.

Maybe Wade was inspired to say what he said about Butlers’ game in these play games because he still has sour grapes on how his time played for the heat ended. Butler made it clear that he wanted from Miami for a business deadline in February and was stopped several times by the organization at the time of his departure.
It is true that the fact that Butler helped the Warriors make the play -off NBA 2025 was an achievement in itself. Warriors looked to be for basketball before adding Butler to the board, but they continued to win all but seven out of 30 games in the usual season that the striker appeared in his maiden season as a warrior.
Butler was also a huge reason why Warriors launched no. Warriors blew almost 3-1 lead in a row, but they continued to eliminate the rocket in seven games.
