New York Jets continues to use their defense through the business market.
New York is to acquire defense Harrison Phillips from Minnesota Vikings in exchange for Val 2026 in the sixth round and Vali 2027 in the sixth round, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. The jets also get a selection of the seventh round 2027 in the contract.
The store is another Jets made with a defense on Wednesday. Earlier, New York added Jowon Briggs in a deal with Cleveland Browns.
Stanford’s product, Phillips manned the Minnesota interior from 2022-2024. He came to the Vikings with a three -year contract worth $ 19.5 million in 2022 after spending his first four NFL periods with Buffalo Bills.
Phillips has been a constant presence throughout his career, appearing in two -digit games in all but one of his seven NFL seasons and contradicts 50 plus tackles in each of his last four campaigns.
He is also impressed in the communities he called home and made a consideration for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award three times in the career.
With two years left in an extension that was signed in 2024, Phillips will join the Jets that aims to climb in disputes in their first year under Aaron Glenn’s new coach.
For the Vikings, who are on the market to add to the elderly wide receiver, they will save money in wage caps this year and the next by trade with Phillips.
