Ja'marr Chase: To avoid another slow start, Bengals beginners might have to play on the front page

The perennial start of the Cincinnati Bengals has become a flash issue and forces them to dig out of the streets in the first season. Over the past two years, they have failed, finished 9-8 and missing the backlash period in campaigns.

In six seasons under Zac Taylor, Bengals have gone 1-11 in the first two weeks of the season and 4-13-1 for three weeks. The only year Cincy had a victory record for three weeks, 2021, they went to the Super Bowl.

“It sounds like we need to play on the cover, eh?” The recipient Ja’marr Chase said on Tuesday through the Associated Press.

The Bengals have always not played their key players much in the front page under Taylor. It’s something he has acknowledged that could change when Cincinnat tries to avoid a seventh slow start.

“All I feel good about is playing our boys on the cover,” Taylor said last week through ESPN. “This is always dependent on change, depending on health and how things go with our team in training camps, but there is one thing we have spoken openly to our players and I think will help us as we do.”

The front page is a delicate balance of getting the stars but avoiding injuries that could completely crater for a period. How many snapshots for Joe Burrow, Chase and Tee Higgins are sufficient to jump their chemistry along the way? There is no correct answer, but Taylor seems ready to make it a resolution.

The other side of Cincy has wanted contracts for contracts that have led to missed training camps. Last year, Chase was embraced in a contract dispute which led to him putting out exercises. He acknowledged that it played at his own start.

“I could say I wasn’t mentally ready to be on the field,” Chase said on Tuesday. “I was in my own head. You know what I’m saying? I wanted to play, but I was in my own head.”

The violation has no such negotiation and with Burrow healthy for the second year in a row should not be hiccups for that purpose and exclude injuries. However, Trey Hendrickson has the situation in defense and has not shown no signs of rapid resolution for training camps.
