Lauren James lit up the first half, netting two and setting up another as England surged to a 4‑0 lead over Greece.
Alessia Russo added a brace, striking before and after halftime, while Arsenal mate Georgia Stanway also found the net, sealing a slick victory that puts England on track for a November‑December playoff final versus Ukraine. In my view, England’s fluid attack left little doubt about their dominance.
Greek dreams of a surprise surge in Leicester evaporated after a lackluster display in Crete, where they fell 4‑0. Can England maintain this momentum heading into the decisive playoff?
