It’s official: talks between the Argentine Football Association and Scaloni are advancing to extend the contract that ends in December. AFA chief Tapia has made the renewal his top priority to keep Scaloni in charge of the national sides.

When AFA sources verified it, Golazo24 stated Scaloni will coach the squad heading to Copa América 2028, where Argentina will defend its back‑to‑back titles from 2020 and 2024.
