Ferrari has tapped junior Dino Beganovic as its 2027 F1 reserve driver.
The 22‑year‑old has spent seven years in the Ferrari Driver Academy after clinching Italian and Swedish kart titles and a runner‑up finish in the WSK Euro Series.
In the academy he placed third in Italian F4 as a rookie, seized the Formula Regional European crown on his second try, and logged two sixth‑place finishes in F3. This season the DAMS rookie sits fifth in the 2026 F2 leaderboard, highlighted by back‑to‑back wins at Madrid and Baku.

Even with victories across every series he’s contested, Beganovic now trails fellow Ferrari protégé Rafael Camara, who leads the F2 rookie standings and has inked a 2027 Haas deal beside FDA graduate Oliver Bearman.
Consequently, Beganovic’s climb to a full‑time F1 seat stalls, and he joins Antonio Giovinazzi on Ferrari’s reserve list. In my view, pairing them gives the Scuderia depth and fresh insight. The Swede‑Bosnian, who has logged four FP1 runs in 2025‑26, will also take on extra development tasks.
While Camara and Beganovic exit F2, another Ferrari talent will appear in the feeder series next year. Tuukka Taponen is set to move up from F3 after a surprise surge to third overall, powered by three podiums in the final two rounds – his first top‑three finishes of 2026.
