Eagles TE Dallas Goedert agrees to terms on one-year deal

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert agreed to terms on a one-year contract, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Sunday.

Goedert’s new contract comes after teams twice pushed back the void date that would have made him a free agent, allowing more time for negotiations before another team could swoop in and lure away the longtime Eagle.

Rapoport and Garafolo added that the Eagles were managing the situation with Goedert and AJ Brown, who has been the subject of trade rumors, at the same time last week because they had to work within the salary cap and that Brown’s status remains unchanged.

A second-round pick of Philly in 2018, Goedert has contributed 409 catches for 4,676 yards and 35 touchdowns in eight seasons with the team.

About the NFL will have more shortly.
