Dan Campbell, Lions, is not happy with striking performance in Hof Game loss for a charger

Detroit Lions had difficulty taking care of the ball in a 34-7 loss on Thursday night for the Los Angeles Chargers in the Hall of Fame game 2025.

The crew of Dan Campbell turned the ball over five times – twice in special teams, including fuming the starting kick – and suitable for three shutters. Although it was a season with a copy, the coach was clearly unhappy with the performance.

“You want to win the game. You also want to play very well, you know it, and we didn’t,” Campbell said. “So it’s annoying part of it, but as I said, we’re going to learn from it. We’re going to be able to train this reel and help some of these guys get better, and it will serve us well. And I would expect we will play a lot better next week, these boys who played in this game.”

Copying or not, Campbell was clear that the ball cannot be tolerated at any level of the agency.

“We turned five times and then we got no takeaways,” Campbell said. “So it’s hard just from that point of view when you put your defense in such a position.

“You have Lions Gear, you have to take care of the ball, or it will be difficult to keep you around.”
