Dak Prescott passes Tony Romo to become the Cowboys' all-time leading pass rusher

In his 10th season — all with Dallas — Prescott has now surpassed 2,500 yards passing eight times, including a 4,902-yard performance in 2019 that finished just one yard shy of Romo’s single-season club record (4,903; 2012).

Selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Prescott replaced Romo as the Cowboys’ quarterback, the latter retiring after the 2016 campaign.

Although critics often point to the team’s lack of success during Prescott’s tenure (four championships, five playoff appearances without going beyond the divisional championship), Prescott’s individual contributions are undisputed. The 2018 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has gone to three Pro Bowls, passed for 3,500 yards in five seasons and thrown 30 or more touchdowns in three campaigns.

And now Prescott’s name is etched as the No. 1 passer in Dallas annals.
