Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield sat out Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams after injuring his left shoulder in the first half.
Mayfield entered the blue medical tent on the visitor’s sideline and supported his non-throwing left arm moments after he threw a touchdown to receiver Tez Johnson in the second quarter.
Mayfield was back on the field for the Buccaneers as a result. But he lofted a pass with all his might on the last play of the first half, and as the ball fell incomplete, Mayfield dropped to his knees in pain. After initially being ruled questionable to return, Mayfield emerged from the locker room with his left arm in a sling.
