“I think it’s just that we have fun again,” Mahomes said when asked what the key to success will be this season. “It’s always fun to play on Kansas City Chiefs; that’s what makes it special. I feel like last year, I don’t want to say it was pressure, but guys wanted to go out and work every week, not for the fun of the game, but just because we should go out.
“We have the talent. We have the coaches. We work harder than anyone in the NFL. So let’s go there and have fun and let the results handle.”
A common theme of recent over -running periods has been about the sensed lack of options for the receiver. It is part that Deandre Hopkins ended up in Kansas City last season, a campaign where they lost Rasee Rice due to knee injury and only saw Marquise Brown play in two games.
Mahomes believes that Brett Veach manager has prepared in accordance with 2025 – and that the room will be both competitive and difficult for Veach and Andy Reid coach to cut down at the end of the front page.
“I think it will come everywhere,” Mahomes said. “Obviously, you’ve got Rashee to be back – he looks great. You have Xavier worthy, which came so strong by the end of last year. You have a Hollywood Brown healthy again. Guys everywhere. You add Travis Kelce, Hall of Famer, Noah Gray, a great dense end.
“We have so many weapons. Let’s go there and maximize it all. It won’t be just one person. It will be everything outside the season that goes there and show what Kansas City Chiefs truly are.”
Chief’s identity has not corresponded to its reputation in recent periods, which led to some unnecessary suspicion about their ability to win a championship title. In 2022 and 2023, they threw the nose of the critics and took home in a series of Super Bowl titles.
2024 produced another story. Mahomes believes that his team has a great chance of ensuring that 2025 does not end in the same disappointment.
