Daniels dislocated the same elbow in Week 9, forcing him out for three games and setting the stage for his return on Sunday. The second-year QB may have aggravated the injury in his first game back. He was 9 of 20 passing for 78 yards with no touchdowns and one INT after going out.
Daniels wasn’t the only Washington starter out for Sunday’s game.
Veteran tight end Zach Ertz was carted off the field in the third quarter with a knee injury. Ertz’s leg bent backwards after Vikings safety Jay Ward was hit trying to haul in a pass from Marcus Mariota. The officers TE were brought into the dressing room.
Ertz had 34 carries and had one catch on two catches for 11 yards when he left.
Washington (3-10) plays the New York Giants (2-11) in Week 15.
