Rookie quarterback Omarion Hampton (ankle) will be activated off injured reserve for Monday night’s home game against the Eagles, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday. NFL GameDay Morning.
Hampton broke his ankle in Week 5 and was subsequently placed on IR, adding to a tumultuous stretch for the Bolts who saw several injuries to the starting lineup.
Two weeks before Hampton’s injury, veteran Najee Harris suffered a torn Achilles, propelling the rookie first-round pick into a bigger role. That’s when Hampton began to show real flashes, posting his first 100-plus rushing yard game in Week 4 and becoming the team’s rushing leader before breaking his ankle on October 5th.
