Kyler Murray’s playing status will be up in the air through Friday for the second week in a row.
Murray is questionable for the Cardinals’ Week 7 home game against the Green Bay Packers. Jacoby Brissett would get the starting nod if Murray couldn’t go.
Murray is dealing with a foot injury that made him questionable last week. He ended up being shut out, leaving Brissett to take the reins.
Week 9 is a bye in Arizona, so Murray could rest for three straight weeks since suffering an injury in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.
The Cardinals are 4-19 without Murray as their starter since selecting him No. 1 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. That number includes last week’s 31-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. However, Brissett led the Cards in scoring (tied with a win in Week 2) and yards (400).
Brissett threw for 320 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The Cardinals (2-4) host the Packers (3-1-1) at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday.
