Caleb Williams, Bears Fizzle after a hot start; QB is called "Continue Growing"

Caleb Williams and Chicago Bears looked like world champions out of the gate. Then the trap door in the wind disease yawned yielded open and they all fell through and collapsed in 27-24 losses for Minnesota Vikings.

Williams led Bears to unspoiled contact for the first time, finished all six shipments and closed the 10 -game drive with 9 yard shame to pay a boy. The opening manuscript had everything from Williams: Crisp, on-marks, saliva on the road to Rome Odunze, devastating scraps of problems, four first floors, a few thirds down transformations and closed it with the first opening drive, for example.

From there, things went wrong.

The bears formed only the first first down in the first half. In the second half, things were very fuzzy for Williams and Bears, who could not take advantage of the defense to squeeze JJ McCarthy. Finally, the Vikings found their foothold when Chicago’s offense continued to get stuck in the mud. 17-6 lead in the fourth quarter, 27-17 slopes with 2:59 left.

“We felt like we were in control,” Williams said through the team’s official copy. “We were with the government up to two levels … that mindset is something we have, something we preach. It didn’t happen today.”

As the game went, Williams seemed to be pushing as the lead came out. The accuracy of the second year QB decreased, missing a few times, even when he had enough pockets. Several of his poor past were by those who stimulate, including missing the open DJ Moore for example when they were coming.

Rarely has a new era got so much optimism like Ben Johnson-Caleb Williams Union in Chicago. In the quarter, the marriage seemed to be perfect, but when things went aside, neither the coach nor the QB could properly fly.

“I thought he started very well,” Johnson said of Williams. “I don’t know, I have to go back and look exactly where these imperfections came in. It certainly felt like it dared a little. Probably credit for (defense officer of the Vikings) Brian) Flores and the Vikings, too, do some adjustments in the end. Some things too tightened.”

Williams stated that one game does not make a season and that he felt good in the system of Johnson.

“I think it was a lot good there,” said Qb. “Our communication. He was getting the plays fast. Being able to get out of the hug we have to be better with it. Being able to get up the line, make checks. I think it’s a growing process. It will continue to grow from here. The beginning, this is the beginning, but certainly not the end.

Williams ended 21 out of 35 past (60%) to 210 meters with one eg transmission for 86.6 points and led Bears with 58 meters rushing on six attempts for example.

The improved striker began to leak in the second half as the Viking defense line put up the pressure on Williams. Although QB only took two bags, the pressure clearly came to him, which led to outside the mark.

Chicago has a lot to clean up, both from the team manager and the first time coach, if it is to avoid a back-end loss, with 0-1 Detroit Lions next on the deck.

“We said to go on week 1 that the team that would make the smallest number of mistakes would win the game. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side of it,” said Johnson. “We did too many late in the game, myself included.

Bears have suffered four losses when they have led about 10 plus points in the fourth quarter since 2023, most in the NFL during that period.
