JK Dobbins can shake defenders, but not the injury bug.
The Denver Broncos quarterback is expected to be out for the foreseeable future with a serious foot injury, NFL Networks insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday.
Dobbins is working out his options, but being placed on the bench, which would force him out for at least the next four games, remains a possibility, according to Rapoport and Pelissero.
The Broncos suspended Dobbins for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
Dobbins going on IR would mean he has missed multiple games in each of his last five seasons and at least one game dating back to his 2020 rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens where he played 15 of a possible 16.
Injury problems have dogged the talented running back in each of his NFL stops, starting with Baltimore, where he missed 43 games over four regular seasons, including all of 2021. In his solo season with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, Dobbins missed four games.
