Tennessee Titans no. 1 overall Pick Cam Ward had a solid first game for the season and showed an excellent relationship with receiver Calvin Ridley, in a 29-7 loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday.

After evaluating the film, Brian Callahan coach was pleased with the performance of newcomer QB but pointed out that there are still things to clean up.

“Cam is certainly not yet,” Callahan said on Sunday through the team’s official website. “We have a lot of things we are still working on. I found this a good start for him, inspiring. It was productive, but there are some things we are going to continue to grind. Still working to get the ball out fast, still working on its timing. … there are plenty of things we are still working with cam.”

The evening’s evening began with two imperfections and quick 3 and out. In his next drive, he found Ridley three times for a Klumpur play when Tennessee went 75 meters over 11 plays, was closed by Tony Pollard 1-Yarda.

In two drives, Ward 5 of 8 went to 67 meters and 89.1 points.

The top selected in the NFL draft 2025 showed its strong arm and able to muscle the ball all over the field. Ward also showed good precision and promising processing for novice in his first real live NFL appearance and quickly went from one receiver to the next. There are factors that he still needs to work on, including his foot work in his pocket, where he suits the back legs several times. QB almost suited the int trying to fit the ball in a window that was never open.

All in all, Titans must be happy that the moment did not look too big out of the face of his right to vote.

Ward will get a more important representative this week as Titans are pursuing common practices in Atlanta with the falcons for another game on Friday.
