Andrew Berry: Browns’ goal with No. 6 pick in 2026 NFL draft is to ‘maximize asset’

Andrew Berry: Browns' goal with No. 6 pick in 2026 NFL draft is to 'maximize asset'

The Browns’ needs are great, especially on offense, where a wide receiver and starting offensive lineman are both first-round options. Cleveland rebuilt its O-line this offseason by adding position-flexible players throughout, leaving it open to adding either tackle or defensive end in the draft.

“I think every player is unique. I think it’s definitely a good offensive line group,” Berry said of the offensive line group. “Some players who are, and we see it every year, but some players who are college tackles can move inside because of their physical attributes, whether it’s athleticism or length or something along those lines. Some have lined up inside, outside, some have lined up on both sides of the line. So, you really take it on a case-by-case basis because of the I-don’t-fit rule.”

One big question is whether the Browns would add another quarterback after drafting Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders last year and with Deshaun Watson returning from injury. Berry did not rule out the possibility as he is doing.

“I think it’s possible we could,” he said. “Honestly, it’s possible we could add at any position. That’s really the truth. And I wouldn’t rule out the quarterback.”

The Browns currently have nine picks, including four in the top 70.
