Harry Kane (Leytonstone, 1993) his onion the best goalscoring season at club level in style: “9” Bayern scored a “Three” against Stuttgart (3-0) in the final to win German Cup.
The former Tottenham player, logged in 2023 for 95 million euroscloses the season with 61 goals! in 51 games. He had never scored so much. His record, to date, was 44 goals he enrolled in his the first season in Munich.
Rewarded hunger to score. The England international “puts on” the Golden Boot for the second time -he already won it in 2023-24- in his career. His 36 goals in the Bundesliga (72 points) earn him the cup which European Sports Media (ESM) -of which MARCA is a member- familiar with top scorer of the period in Europe.
This is how the Golden Boot reads:
- 1. Harry Kane (Bayern) 36 goals x 2 points = 72 points
- 2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) 27 x 2 = 54
- 3. Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) 25 x 2 = 50
- 4. Dion Drena Beljo (Dinamo Zagreb) 31 x 1.5 = 46.5
- 5. Vedat Muriqi (RCD Mallorca) 23 x 2 = 46
- 6. Igor Thiago (Brentford) 22 x 2 = 44
- 7. Estéban Lepaul (Angers/Rennes) 21 x 2 = 42
- 7. Luis Javier Suárez (Sporting CP) 28 x 1.5 = 42
- 9. Deniz Undav (VfB Stuttgart) 19 x 2 = 38
- 10. Ayase Ueda (Feyenoord Rotterdam) 25 x 1.5 = 37.5
- 11. Donyell Malen (Aston Villa/AS Roma) 4 x 2 + 14 x 2 = 36
- 12. Aleksandar Katai (Red Star) 23 x 1.5 = 34.5
- 13. Ante Budimir (Osasuna) 17 x 2 = 34
- Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund) 17 x 2 = 34
- Lautaro Martínez (Inter) 17 x 2 = 34
- “Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth/Manchester City) 17 x 2 = 34
Kane has “exhausted”—if you’ll pardon the pun—all his pursuers. Completing the podium are Erling Haaland (27 goals/54 points) and Real Madrid Kylian Mbappé (25 goals/50 points).
What is very intriguing, however, is the “recipe” behind it sixth “Pichichi” -at department level- of his career: he won three in Prime Minister with Tottenham (2015-16, 2016-17 and 2020-21) and has added another three, in a row, with Bayern (2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26).
What fuels his appetite for goals is… Viennese schnitzel! And with repeat visits Kane’s family and friends to Hotel Waldgasthof to try this a kind of scallop so typical of Bavarian cuisine, its owner, Stefan Kastner, came up with an original idea: reward the Englishman with a Viennese schnitzel for every goal he scored: 61 in total!
‘On Saturday, three more people died. “I was particularly pleased that Harry scored all three goals. On Sunday I went to his house with the three schnitzels he won.”, Kastner admits “Image”. Not enough of that. At half time in the cup final he treated 300 diners who watched the game in Kane’s version of a “mini Schnitzel”. ‘
On Sunday I went to his house with the three schnitzels he earned
The truth is that the hotel’s fame has continued to grow. “After it was announced in January that we will be giving Harry a Wiener Schnitzel for every goal he scores, there was a lot of interest in our schnitzel. That’s why I wanted to give all fans the chance to try one, and the cup final was the perfect occasion to do so.”
On Sunday, however, he received a shirt signed by Kane: “For the Hotel Waldgasthof. Thank you for all the schnitzels. Best regards”. “9” Bayern is insatiable.
