Safety Kevin Byard is signing a one-year, $9 million contract with the Patriots, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday, according to sources.
Byard, who led the NFL with seven picks last season in Chicago, joins head coach Mike Vrabel, who previously coached the safeties at Tennessee.
