Seattle wants more of Rashid Shaheed.
The Seahawks are bringing back the wide receiver and return specialist on a three-year, $51 million deal, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
A midseason acquisition from the Saints in 2025, Shaheed served as a rushing deep threat during the Seahawks’ run to a Super Bowl LX victory.
Although he didn’t put up spectacular numbers in his nine regular-season games with Seattle — 15 receptions for 188 yards — Shaheed’s threat down the field earned respect, keeping opposing defenses on their heels and allowing Jaxon Smith-Njigba to eclipse the league’s single-season rushing record.
Spreading the field was key in an offense that used a lot of plays, and his ability to sprint down the field came to the fore in Seattle’s playoff run when he hauled in a huge 51-yard pass early in their NFC title win over the Rams.
Shaheed also made a big impact as the Seahawks’ starting kicker, returning games for touchdowns in both the regular season and the wild card game in what was his second Pro Bowl season for a touchdown in 2025.
On a day when the Seahawks missed out on their Super Bowl MVP leaving in free agency, Seattle is making sure another dynamic piece of their championship offense remains.
Shaheed, who had 44 receptions for 499 yards and two TDs in his nine games with the Saints before being traded, figures to be more seasoned in 2026 with some experience and a full offseason with the Seahawks in 2026 and beyond.
