Browns defensive end Ronnie Hickman Jr. was assaulted Monday morning in New York and was subsequently treated for minor injuries, the team said.
“Ronnie Hickman was the victim of an assault early Monday morning at a hotel in New York,” a Cleveland spokesperson said in a statement about the incident via team assistant editor Kelsey Russo. “Ronnie was treated for minor injuries at an area hospital after the incident, was later released and is at home resting with his family.”
Hickman has spent the last three years with the Browns after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2023.
He was a 17-game starter last season and posted 103 tackles, seven passes defensed and two interceptions.
