Kayshon Boutte isn’t holding back his confidence ahead of the AFC Championship game in Denver.
The Patriots client heard Broncos head coach Sean Payton’s comments this week. Asked what his message was to fans at Empower Field in Mile High on Sunday, Payton asked them to start getting loud early in the game clock because of how fast the Patriots can play up-tempo offensively.
“They’re going to get plenty of rest after this one,” Payton said of the fans. “Two weeks.”
Payton’s point might have been about fans making noise Sunday, knowing they can rest their voices afterward. But it wasn’t hard for Boutte to read Payton’s comment — the “two weeks” part — as an indication that the coach believes the Broncos will beat the Patriots before moving on to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, Calif. on Feb. 8.
When asked about Payton’s comment, Boutte offered a different itinerary for the Broncos and their fans.
“They can also rest in Cancun at the end of the day,” Boutte said, via NBC10’s Kevin Moore.
