Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has battled a slew of injuries this season, left Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots with a back injury and is doubtful to return.
He was replaced by backup Tyler Huntley.
Jackson was hurt on a three-yard run late in the second quarter where it looked like he might have been kneed on the ground by a defender. He was in obvious pain on the sideline before walking to the locker room.
Baltimore was down 10-7 before Jackson exited. On the same drive that injured Jackson, the Ravens tied the game at 10, which stood as the halftime score.
Jackson, who completed 7 of 10 passes for 101 yards and rushed twice for 7 yards, missed three games earlier this season with a hamstring injury. Since his return, Jackson has missed practice due to ankle, toe and knee injuries along with illness.
With the Ravens playing for their playoff run, having Jackson on the field is important not only for the rest of this game but for the next two weeks.
