The team put a few first with their expedition: This was the first mixed gender four to calm over Arctic Ocean and the first All-American team to calm over Polar Ocean. Graham became the first black person to calm the polar ocean. Hannah Hippi was the first American woman to calm down.
The crew used the trip to help raise money for Covenant House New Orleans and Laureus Sport for good New Orleans, with the goal of collecting $ 1 million – one dollar for every meter row.
Graham, 38, last played in the NFL in 2023 and reached six passes in 39 meters and four points in 13 games for New Orleans.
