Breece Hall read the tea leaves wrong.
After a disappointing campaign 2024, Hall thought he could have disappeared from New York, threw out with the bath water when the Jets cleaned the players of the previous board.
Rumors for the 2025 NFL draft indicated that the Jets could shop the splash that runs back and select his replacement.
“I was seeing it just like everyone else saw it,” Hall said on Wednesday on the team’s official website. “But as I said, if people feel like you are not working your work, then you will be replaced. It didn’t happen. I’m here.”
Hall said that new coach Aaron Glenn called him and diminished the chatter.
“This meant a lot,” said Hall. “At first, I just like, okay, we’ll just see what happens. And then I called me and told me,” Breece, you think I want to do business with you? ” And I was like I don’t know.
Bluntness with players is sure to be the foundation of Glenn’s New York Board.
The period 2024 was supposed to be Hall’s violation. Instead, he withdrew and made 876 meters on 209 wagons with five matches. In a fraction that distorted the weight under Aaron Rodgers, Hall never saw a game with 20 wagons and had five with 10 or fewer bags. The runner’s explosive had one game with over 100 meters (113 per week 6 loss to Buffalo) but earned less than 50 meters in five slopes. He also added 483 reception meters and three TDs on 57 catch – 103 of these meters came in one game (week 7 against Pittsburgh).
Hall’s mindset is to prove that the prediction of his offense was not wrong, just delayed a year.
“I’m not obliged to do anything,” he said. “I’m around the new GM [Darren Mougey]New coaches, a lot of new faces. So for me I have to prove that I’m the guy. It’s every day. I feel like my talent competition, I’m three down again. We have a great running room and a lot of healthy competition. But my mind is every day that I’m going to prove that I am the best back in this roster, one of the league’s best back guards.
“I have a quote on my phone. It says,” If not me, who? ” I look at it every morning.
Jets not only traded before or during the draft, but also did not choose to run back. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis are likely to carry Siphon in New York’s committee under the new offensive manager of Tanner Engstrand. The deficit still enters the lead in New York under the new regime.
