For the second year in a row, Russell Wilson signed with a club only to see the younger teammate added. This year in New York, it was Jaxson Dart, a newcomer to the first round of the team with upside down to take Giants’ starting team away.
Wilson, who has taken most of the first team representative in OTA, said Dart’s presence did not change his approach.
“It doesn’t change anything at all,” Wilson said through the official copy of the team. “I think the biggest thing for me is just to be my best every day, lead. I always think of leading everyone, just leading every room, every moment, every time I get between the white lines and the opportunity to do it.”
Wilson made a one -year contract worth up to $ 21 million and was anointed by the starting team by Brian Daboll coach. The agreement, along with the presence of Dart, emphasizes that 36 years QB is simply a bridge. The question is, when does the future start? Week 1? Week 10? Week 15? Week 18? 2026? Much of it could have to do with how Wilson is doing, starting with minicamp next week.
For his part, Wilson had nothing negative to say about the talented newcomer.
“Jaxson has been great, a man,” Wilson said while talking to reporters for the first time since the draft. “He is a great employee, a great teammate. We have fun, all of us. We have a really good team manager room. Guys are so focused and work diligently every day. He will be extremely, extremely good talent and everything else all his career.”
Wilson is not shy about his willingness to guide the future of New York.

It has not yet been an indication, apart from the representative here or with the first team, that Daboll is ready to give Dart a shot to release Wilson as a starter. We will see how long it lasts when the training camp arrives in July.
