Center David Andrews retired after a decade with Patriots

Two wins Super Bowl and a decade with New England Patriots later, David Andrews has decided to call it a career.

Andrews, who was released from Pats in March, resigned, announced the team on Wednesday when he revealed that it would hold a press conference on Monday.

Andrews was a pillar of the Center for the Patriots at the end of the New England family, started in three Super Bowls and helped the right to vote with Lombardi titles in the Atlanta Falcons (Super Bowl Li) and Los Angeles Rams (Super Bowl Liii).

The 32-year-old was never a Pro Bowler, but was the first center mostly from 2017 to 2022 and won 83.5 PFF the overall score in the 2017 career in the Patriots walk to the Super Bowl Lii-Tap for Philadelphia Eagles. During his career, he broke the ball to the famous Tom Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brisset, Cam Newton, Mac Jones and the latest face of the right to vote, Drake Maye.

However, injuries took its toll. Andrews, who played in 124 games in the career with a 121 start, missed the duration of the 2019 period due to blood clots. He missed many games 2020 and 2022 and played last season in just four competitions when he needed surgery on Rotator.
