Joe Burrow, the Bengals team manager, addressed the NFL scheduled makers who sent Cincinnati to Baltimore in Prime Time in the fourth consecutive season. NFL’s master plan understood grief.
Mike North, Vice President of the NFL in radio planning and timing, told Bengals’ official team web site that he understands Burrow’s criticism, adding that if he could wave “magic” and change one part of the program, he would optimize this gratitude night.
“It’s fair. It’s not the same or two years a kind of ward where you fix all problems every other year or another year,” said North. “When you start to get for the same three consecutive years, four or five years in a row, whether it is a short week Thursday on the road or opens on the road … When a development like this one is coming, we probably have to adapt at some point.”
North acknowledged that when he was dealing with a 17 -game schedule for 32 teams, no one is always happy.
“It just ended when we got to the elastic here, that this was our best plan and fully acknowledge that I’m sure Bengals fans are a little surprised and probably a little disappointed, which puts them in the same category as all 31 other teams,” said North. “Everyone is just a little disappointed with scheduled makers.”
