McCarthy appeared to have suffered an injury after being sacked by Brian Burns with less than a minute left in the first half. Tyler Nubin took home McCarthy’s bunt to bring New York back into the game.
The Vikings QB headed to the locker room when the Giants recovered the ball and was ejected as the third quarter began. He scored Minnesota’s only scorer of the game so far on a 12-yard run.
