JJ McCarthy’s availability for Week 13 is up in the air.
The Minnesota Vikings quarterback is dealing with a concussion after Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, head coach Kevin O’Connell said Monday.
McCarthy reported some symptoms on the trip home and was further evaluated Sunday night, according to O’Connell.
O’Connell added that it was too early in the week to rule McCarthy out for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer is McCarthy’s primary backup after Carson Wentz was lost for the season with a shoulder injury and would start if McCarthy is unable to play.
