Patrik Schick struck again on Matchday 4, marking a goal in every one of Leverkusen’s opening fixtures – a streak the squad hopes will endure.

Leverkusen went into their fixture with Leipzig three places and two points behind their opponents in 10th, after a mixed start to the 2026/27 campaign.
One factor that has been consistent in the opening weeks of their season has been Schick’s scoring touch, however.
The experienced striker rescued a point for Bayer against Augsburg on Matchday 3, and was also previously on the scoresheet versus both Elversberg and Union Berlin.
His four goals have not only put him joint-top of the scoring charts, alongside the likes of Michael Olise and Yuito Suzuki, but they have also helped fire his team up into the Bundesliga’s top five. Having taken 16 shots on goal over those four encounters, he has begun the season in clinical fashion.
