After the international break, PSG announced a short hiatus for Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes, meaning they’ll miss Saturday’s Ligue 1 showdown against Le Mans at the Parc des Princes.
The club’s X post read: “In agreement with the coach and sporting director, Ousmane Dembélé and Nuno Mendes are on a rest period. They will resume training on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October respectively.” For my money, the break should sharpen their impact.
Both players logged heavy minutes during the break. The French forward featured fully in two of France’s four matches under Zinedine Zidane, adding another 82 minutes across the remaining two games. Meanwhile, the Portuguese full‑back completed three Portugal fixtures for Jorge Jesus, then was subbed off at the 78‑minute mark in a fourth.
This marks Dembélé’s second rest spell of the campaign, following an initial break in late August after an exhausting previous season and a World Cup run with France.
