Texans QB CJ Stroud throws on minicamp, all reduces the worries of shoulders

Stroud sat from Ota earlier this spring because Ryan described June 3 as “general tenderness” in his shoulder and urged reporters to ask if surgery was the possibility of Stroud. When Ryans refused to elaborate or answer that question directly, a concern began to build up.

Smiling Stroud reported on Tuesday that his absence from throwing things to take care of his body after pushing offseason.

“I took this offseason very seriously,” said Stroud. “Just working hard, tried to get my body right. I was here pretty early with our strengths. I have worked a lot to get my body right, lose body fat. Tried to be faster, stronger.

“It went very well. But there is always a risk and a reward. There was always a risk of working hard. It was a great outside. I think I did it. But I wouldn’t say that was why, much of everything.”

On Tuesday, Ryans explained his decision to sit Stroud came down to “doing the best for CJ”

“CJ’s competitor,” said Ryans. “Last week, CJ was steadfast in going out and practicing. It just showed the type that CJ is. For me as a head coach, it is important for me to make sure we protect him. … not really worried about the outside views of others.

This does not mean that Stroud is completely out of the woods; Whenever the team manager misses time for misery or fatigue on the shoulders, it is worth watching. But it is a very inspiring development for Texans, which certainly does not need a concern for the team manager who hangs over them when they enter the period 2025.
