Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud is doubtful to return for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos while he is evaluated for a concussion.
Stroud was hurt in the second quarter after getting hit at the end of a 6-yard run, the back of his head hitting the turf after a hit by Broncos defensive back Kris Abrams-Draine as the QB was sliding.
The Texans QB was attended to on the field by the team’s medical staff as teammates surrounded him. He was escorted to the blue medical tent before going to the dressing room.
Davis Mills entered the game for Stroud with 1:30 left in the first half and with the Texans leading 3-0.
Stroud was 6-for-10 for 79 yards when he left.
