american track feel Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone continued his preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday (May 4) with two convincing performances at the Oxy Invitational in Los Angeles.
In her first individual races of the season, the Olympic champion and world record holder in the 400m hurdles produced an impressive performance, completing the 100m hurdles in a time of 12.71 seconds, just 0.06 seconds off her personal best set in 2021.
She then followed this up with another win in the 200m, recording a wind speed of 22.38 seconds.
The 24-year-old made her long-awaited return to the track two weeks ago as part of the women’s 4x100m quartet that finished second at the Mt. SAC Relays in California.
McLaughlin-Levrone is expected to run her first 400m hurdles in 20 months at the USATF Los Angeles Championships on May 18, 2024.
