“Yes, I still don’t like it,” Rodgers said with a copy of the team. “No, I’m trying to change. We’re still in the process. It looks like a few spaceships out there.
“We have to change it. The face mask does not fit with the helmet because this is an old face mask obviously just like I’m old, but we’re trying to find the right helmet right now.”
The combination of old (and incredibly simple) face mask with a new helmet model has certainly done for a cartoon look for Rodgers who resemble the great Gazoo Person from Flintstones. It is the best thing he could do to put together the most familiar structure possible, but even Rodgers has admitted that he must accept at least some change.
“I can’t stand the helmet,” Rodgers said in June through Brooke Pryor Espn. “I have worn Schutt for 20 years and somehow it did not meet the security standard.”
The model Rodgers wore lasted an incredibly long time compared to strict NFL tests and safety standards, which regularly force the retirement of new models than Rodgers’ Q11. Fortunately, he will have a few more weeks to calculate what he wants to wear before the season begins.
