Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford are in contact between the year, but Sean McVay hopes there is more than just one more with the Senate.
“We have a chance with him every time he is on the exchange and loves to work with him. And I think he can play as long as he wants, but fortunately I hope there are a few more years,” McVay told Adam Schein in Mad Dog Sports Radio.
Stafford blew a revised contract on this dissatisfaction after similar negotiations took months to do last outside of the season. The rams allowed the 37-year-old team manager to look for potential trading-which contained Raiders’ interest and Giants-En finally expressed his Stafford desire to always be in La
McVay said Schein said honest conversations with Stafford have allowed two of Rams’ most important employees to get closer.
“When you are able to have real conversations with people you care about and can care for, you can go in two ways. You can either get further apart, or you can get closer,” McVay said. “And there is no question in my mind that I and I are closer than ever. It is great gratitude, it is very gratitude that we could work through some of these things.
“Finally, I heard (manager) read (Snead), to renew the promise. And I think it is a kind of renewal of gratitude for the opportunity to continue working together.
