If the 28-year-old can indeed return for the 2026 season, it would be a huge boost for the Ravens lineup, which has struggled without the big man under center. In his two Pro Bowl seasons, 2023 and 2024, Madubuike was a beast in the middle, racking up 19.5 sacks and 50 quarterback sacks. He signed a four-year, $98 million extension in 2024.
Baltimore’s improved defensive lineup, with the addition of point guard Trey Hendrickson, looks much better on paper with Madubuike manning the middle.
Even with the positive news, the interior defensive line is still a spot the Ravens could look to upgrade in this week’s draft.
