Raven DC Zach Orr not a devastating job security amid struggle: 'Close out of that noise'

Ravens defense defense officer Zach Orr is not refusing his job when Baltimore tries to dig out of the hole in the first season.

“I’m just focused on this Sunday,” he said Thursday before 6 weeks in Ravens, Los Angeles Rams, through ESPN. “All I got to do is go there and just keep working day by day and putting my best foot on. And then I’m not quite worried about what happens. I’m just worried about finding a way to win Sunday and stop a high break with LA coming in.”

Orr has been under review since he took over as Ravens DC in 2024 after Mike Macdonald moved to Seattle. The ravens were struggling early last season before turning things late and landing in 10th place in the yard and ninth place in points.

During this period, everything has collapsed as injuries expanded.

In the 6th week, Baltimore is in 32. These types of numbers usually spell bad news for supervisors.

“I’m really focusing on what is important and what my job is – it’s to be here and do the best I can,” said Orr. “So this job already involves a lot. So adding the other interruptions I’ve learned makes it even more difficult. So the older thing I’m getting, I’m just more mature and just learning like I have to be focused and closed inside and block that noise.”
