The constant turnover of the Indianapolis team manager will be annoying for Star left guard Quenton Nelson.
Since being composed in 2018, Andrew Luck’s final season, Nelson has closed 11 different team leader. Daniel Jones will be on 12.
After the news on Tuesday, Nelson was asked if the lack of consistency below the center was frustrating.
“I would say that. I think I would lie if I said it wasn’t [frustrating]”So, to answer your question, yes.”
The sudden retirement of luck in 2019 was part of the reason for team manager’s inconsistency, as the Colts tried a patchwork of the ceasefire to replace the former roller as a whole. Indy hoped that Anthony Richardson, no. 4 in total in 2023, would end the turnover. Plagged with injury and inconsistency, it never took.
Since 2018, Richardson has started 15 games for the Colts and a draw with the fourth highest starting team among the team teammate during that season: Carson Wentz (17), Philip Rivers (16), Andrew Luck (16), Jacoby Brisset (15), Anthony Richardson ( Flacco (6), Sam Ellingin (3) (3) (3) (“Nick Foles (2), and Brian Hoyer (1).
Richardson is the only Colts that starts QB since 2018 to play in many seasons.
This rotary door in the team manager is nothing new for Nelson.
“Since we signed Daniel, we knew this would be a big decision for Shane [Steichen] And the main office to do, “said Nelson.” And nothing really changes for us. We are still going to work, doing our jobs, still supporting both kids.
Colts’ strikers have often cited the inconsistency below the center as a matter. Former midfielder Ryan Kelly named it both 2022 and 2024 as a concern. The only stable in Indy has been a change.
Although Richardson’s agent Deiric Jackson fired shots at the Colts and cited a “confidence” case in a statement to ESPN, the third -year team manager took it on the chin.
“You just have to respect the decision,” Richardson said following the news. “They feel like he suits the team better – the better fit for the outcome of us to win. So you’ve just got to respect it and just keep working.
Unfortunately, these improvements were not enough to keep the center in Indy.
With Jones on a one -year contract, there is no responsibility that Nelson will not prevent 13. The starting team QB in 2026.
